The opposition bloc led by a former Prime Minister Sato Kilman and supported by Opposition Leader Ishmael Kalsakau, has been urging Charlot Salwai to sack his deputy Joe Natuman who is serving a two-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
Last week Mr Salwai challenged the opposition bloc to take their concerns to court.
However, he said if the worse comes to the worst he will seek the Council of Ministers approval for an early dissolution of parliament.
The Prime Minister said he was more concerned about the people's welfare.
Mr Salwai said he was concerned about government departments not doing enough to control employment permits for foreigners, foreign workers entering the country without proper documents and about the need for more ni-Vanuatu to find pathways into meaningful businesses.
