Vanuatu signs agreement with NZ for better electricity plan

New Zealand and Vanuatu have signed a funding arrangement for the National Electrification Master Plan.

The arrangement was signed by NZ High Commissioner, Nicola Simmonds and Director General of Climate Change, Esline Garebiiti.

The development of the National Electrification Master Plan will help the Department of Energy understand the electricity needs across the country, especially in rural areas.

New Zealand supports renewable energy and reducing emissions across the Pacific and looks forward to working with the DOE on this project.
