Head of administration leaves PVFA

Bong Shem, Head of administrator for the past seven years, will leave Port Vila Football Association (PVFA) at the end of the month.

The 34-year-old has been with the organization since 2008, originally employed as Administrator but working also as the competition manager of Port Vila Football.

He has been instrumental in setting up a structured calendar of events including the hugely successful different competitions like, TVL Opening Cup, Wilco Cup, Classic Printers Cup and the TVL Premier League competition.

Also during his time he has overseen the implementation of regular Province of Origin and the Melanesian Super Cup.

Bong Shem a former national football player leaves Port Vila Football on good terms and with the support of all football fans in Port Vila wishing him well for the future with his new role as Vanuatu Football Federation Competition Manager.

Bong has given everything to this job and has been working hard for the last 7 years to help Port Vila Football a strong league in the country today.

"I just want to thank everyone who have supported me during my seven years with Port Vila Football and I must say that it's not easy but with the help of everyone we can achieve success in football." said Bong Shem."

"Football in Port Vila is growing faster and the competition is tough and I would like to encourage all football clubs in Port Vila to continue train and play hard and always be happy with football."

"I wish every football club Presidents, secretaries, coaches, players and fans a good Christmas holiday and happy new year 2016." He concluded.

PVFA will have to start looking for someone to replace Bong before the season starts next year 2016.

Bong Shem has started his job with Vanuatu Football Federation and one of his first tasks is to make sure all football associations in Vanuatu have a strong football league in the years to come with youth and senior football competition.
