Shefa Province has taken the lead in the Province of Origin Competition after a convincing win over Penama Province at Port Vila Stadium on Saturday.
Head coach Wilson August praised his side’s all-round display after they beat Penama 4-1 and top the ladder.
In the other match, Malampa Province had to work really hard to beat a strong Torba Province side 2-1.
Torba looks strong under the captaincy of Freddy Vava but the Blues of Malampa made it three points just ten minutes before the final whistle.
The win puts Malampa leveled with Shefa but the Gold and Black lead the day one ladder on goal difference.
