"Tanna" in Australian Critics’ Awards nominations

The wonderful movie Tanna is back in the spotlight again after being nominated four times by the Film Critics Circle of Australia

Tanna has been nominated for Best Film, Best Cinema Topography, Best Music and Best Editor

Variety reports the film is an eternal story of young lovers breaking all the rules and risking everything to be together. “Tanna,” is the first-ever feature shot entirely in the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu. Based on dramatic events that took place on the volcanic island of Tanna in 1987, the pic weaves fascinating details of tribal life into a universally accessible and emotionally affecting romantic drama

The film is up against others like “the Dressmaker”, “Paper Planes”, “Mad Max, Fury Road” and “Last Cab to Darwin.”

The awards will be announced on February 23 at a ceremony in Sydney.
