Vanuatu PM scolds MPs over fee claim

Vanuatu's Prime Minister Charlot Salwai has scolded MPs over claiming sitting allowances when they don't turn up in parliament.

According to RNZI, he says some MPs who were not present in parliament during a special sitting last week have tried to claim the allowance.

He's reminded MPs only those present and recorded on the roll of parliament's deputy clerk are entitled to the money.
