Vanuatu national senior team head coach Moise Poida is expecting a tough challenge when his side takes on Fiji in a friendly in Port Vila today.

Vanuatu started their preparation three weeks ago with 29 players at VFF Footbal Academy and are ready to take on Fiji this weekend with top players like Brian Kaltack, Fenedy Masauvakalo and Francois Sakama.

" It wil be an important test against Fiji," said Poida.

He has added strikers Bernard Daniel and Kansi Tengis and goalkeeper, Sergei Daniel to his squad for the friendly.

'This is another opportunity to get the players together and play as a team and I am proud to say that they have been faithful in training from day one until now,'added Poida.

'Our stadium and playing ground is not really good but we  are ready for the challenge."

"I would like our fans to come out and support our local boys," he said.

Vanuatu will play Fiji in two international friendlies at Port Vila Stadium.

The second game will be played on Tuesday.
