Vanuatu Football Federation Champions League scheduled for June

The Vanuatu Football Federation Champions League 2021 will kick off next month at Luganville Soccer Stadium.

Currently, Galaxy FC and Malampa Revivors FC have qualified for the 2021 O-League competition.

The football federation is awaiting confirmation from the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and the Fijian government, about the hosting of the venue.

The competition usually takes place in Port Vila however VFF has decided to take the competitions to its Member Associations as well.

VFF’s Competition Manager, Bong Shem confirmed that the competition will bring together all active soccer league champion clubs in Vanuatu, coming from their respective Associations.

Bong stated that the Top 4 competition will no longer take place as championship winners are qualified directly into the VFF Champions League.

“All VFF Member Associations with 2-3 active leagues, will come together and battle to find a representative for each MA’s. As for Port Vila, with only one active league, then hopefully Galaxy FC is qualified for the VFF CL next month.”

“As for Shefa, Sanma, Malampa and Tafea MA’s, all having 2-3 active leagues, will see all champions from each league will battle to find one MA representative.”

VFF confirmed that the competition will commence on the 23rd June 2021.
