BET Awards: Offset and Quavo in surprise reunion for Takeoff tribute

The two remaining members of Migos performed the group's hit Bad and Boujee in an unannounced appearance.

It was the pair's first performance together since Takeoff was shot dead last November at the age of 28.

Also at Sunday's BET ceremony in Los Angeles, Beyoncé and SZA were joint winners of the award for best album and picked up two more prizes each.

In their tribute, Offest shouted "Doing this for Take!" while pointing at a screen showing a picture of a rocket, which morphed into a large image of their late bandmate.

BET Awards: Stars hit out at US abortion laws at ceremony

The show, founded in 2001, celebrates black music and entertainment.

It was held in Los Angeles on Sunday, days after the Roe vs Wade ruling was overturned.

Protests have taken place in the US, despite a lot of support for the change in laws.

"It's about damn time we talk about the fact that guns have more rights than women," said host Taraji P. Henson, after Lizzo performed her current hit About Damn Time at the event.

"A weapon that can take lives has more power than a woman that can give life - if she chooses to."
