The Euro-16 fever started since day one of the football matches but many fans who depended on the national TV broadcast for the matches were disappointed that they had to miss some of the matches played by their favorite team or players.

The management of Vanuatu Broadcasting and Television Corporation (VBTC) has apologized for not being able to fulfil its earlier assurance to provide live coverage for all matches of the Euro-16 through Television Blong Vanuatu (TBV).

VBTC general manager, Fred Vurobaravu said “the arrangement in place with Kek TV cannot eventuate”.

One of the badly hurt fans, in his 50s, is reported to have been hit on the head with an iron bar.

In the very first minute Alaba hit the post, though perhaps the best chance before the interval fell to Martin Harnik, who slipped as he looked to finish a sweeping move. The prettier football was played by Hungary, though, with László Kleinheisler standing out.

The Czech defence were missing the suspended Marek Suchý but coach Pavel Vrba set up a cautious selection with effectively six at the rear. Whenever Spain had the ball, both wingers withdrew to outflank the full-backs – and it so nearly worked.

It follows three days of clashes between fans and police in Marseille.

Uefa is investigating after Russia supporters appeared to rush at England fans in the stadium after their draw on Saturday. It has threatened to ban both teams if there is further fan violence.

The UK government has offered to send extra British police ahead of England's next match in Lens on Thursday.

'Totally unacceptable'

It has begun disciplinary proceedings against Russia - but not England - after "totally unacceptable" scenes at Saturday's England-Russia game.

Footage appeared to show Russia fans rush at England supporters after the Euro 2016 1-1 draw in Marseille.

Charges against Russia are for crowd disturbances, racist behaviour, and setting off fireworks, Uefa confirmed.

There were issues with segregation of fans, the body admitted, promising security would be "strengthened".

Fans brawled before and after the game Saturday, forcing police in riot gear to fire tear gas to disperse crowds. Throngs lunged at one another, and hurled bottles and other objects at officers.

After the game, Russian fans charged at the section where their British counterparts sat as chaos ensued. Smoke filled the streets as panicked fans fled.
