Vanuatu Prime Minister Charlot Salwai Tabimasmas led a delegation of Pacific Sports Ministers to the Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs as a sign of respect and gratitude according to the Melanesian traditional value.
The president of the Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs, Chief Silimao Tirsupe officially welcomed ministers from the countries attending the Pacific Mini Games in Port-Vila.
The ministers were accorded the traditional welcome at the Chiefs Nakamal Saturday.
The ceremony is part of the official Ministers meeting that will be held in Port-Vila tomorrow to discuss sports issues in the region.
The meeting is hosted by the Vanuatu government.
