Some temporary seats will be added at the complex to cater for the likely increase in the number of spectators during the period of the Games.

CCECC Public Relations Officer Lillyrose Welwel presented the CCECC progress report to the Vanuatu Government, the Chinese government, and Van2017 Organising Committee at the CCECC Korman Office after a site visit yesterday.

In his remark , the Prime Minister Charlot Salwai Tabimasmas expressed his heartfelt  gratitude to the Government of the Republic of China for its on-going support to Vanuatu, and in particular for the Games Facility.

He stressed that hosting the Games is Vanuatu’s pride, but maintaining the facilities is also very important.

“I am very happy  to see the progress of the work, but since Vanuatu will+   host the Games, then Vanuatu must win more medals too .” said PM Salwai.

The Vanuatu Government and Van2017 Organising Committee got the assurance that CCECC will complete all works at the Complex by the end of September 2017 for it to be handed over to the Vanuatu Government in the following month.
