New Caledonian officials to discuss air and sea transport with Vanuatu

Officials from the territorial government of New Caledonia are currently in Port Vila to discuss areas they could work together on with the Vanuatu government.

Government’s Public Relations Officer, Hilaire Bule says the New Caledonian delegation is headed by the Minister for Transport, Mr Tuienon.

Bule said the delegation will be meeting Prime Minister Charlot Salwai today to discuss future development cooperation in the areas of air and maritime transport, civil aviation and Air Vanuatu with Air Calin.

PM Salwai, Vanuatu's Minister of Transport and his counterpart from New Caledonia are expected to deliver statements.

The meeting, which is scheduled for this morning at the PM's Office will be followed by a visit to the main wharf development site, sino-van and to the Bauerfield airport in the afternoon to welcome an aircraft of Air Vanuatu.
