The co-founder of the association, Alison Harris said one of its main goals was to promote the health benefits of breastfeeding.
Mrs Harris said she also intended to negotiate with businesses to provide a breastfeeding space on their premises for employees.
She said the association would also visit shops to make sure infant formulas being sold are not expired
