Vanuatu business mission a great success

The Chairman and Beca Technical Director of Planning was part of the recent NZPBC Business Mission to Vanuatu, which attracted 17 people, representing 12 companies in NZ.

“We had a wide range of companies … and a mix of people already doing business in Vanuatu – for example, Tegel Foods who are a large supplier there and have been for a number of years,” Graeme says.

“Tegel used the mission for the annual visit to its market partner but there was also new people interested in doing business in Vanuatu.

2 New Facebook Tools for Local Business Advertisers

Facebook introduced two new features aimed at local business advertisers: an easier way to automatically add information via the Locations tool, and local insights.

The Locations update is available globally through Facebook’s ads application-programming interface, with Power Editor coming on board shortly, and local insights are rolling out to pages in the U.S. “starting today and over the coming weeks.”

The Deputy Prime Minister made the remarks in his welcome address to Tok Tok 2015 buyers from Australia during breakfast at Grand Hotel, courtesy of Tok Tok Vanuatu historical sponsor, ANZ Bank Vanuatu and Vanuatu Tourism Office yesterday.

His timely remarks come on the heels of extensive media coverage of the Tanna Lodge fire during which 21 Australian tourists had to be evacuated from the southern island to Port Vila for safety reasons this week.
