From noon today, it will be broadcast for tens of thousands of Sky Pacific customers across the region.

Since Digicel has taken ownership of Sky Pacific a mere 2 months ago, they have already started improving content- and the introduction of the Paramount Channel is further testament to their dedication to bring about positive change for customers.

The award was presented in Port Vila, Vanuatu during the two-day Pacific ICT Days event where members of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) gathered to celebrate the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day for 2016.
The event showcases and celebrates outstanding ICT solutions from within the Pacific.

Digicel Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Darren McLean while switching on the new Sky Pacific service for the first time under Digicel’s ownership said that this was historic for Fiji and a milestone for Digicel in the region.

Digicel Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Darren McLean is very happy to get the licenses from the Fiji Government after an announcement was made in September last year about the purchase of Sky Pacific.

“I want to thank the Fiji Government and the Minister of Communications, Mr. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for his commitment in helping to turn this opportunity into a reality. “

This is in a direct response to TC Winston which hit the Fiji Islands late on Saturday.
