Tanna Farms

Vanuatu coconut oil producer achieves certified organic status

The company’s website says Tanna Farms will be fully certified from July 4, 2017.

Strategically, Tanna Farms nominated BioGro to gain their organic certification for their Coconut Oil and products because New Zealand is the company’s’ biggest export market and it reinforces the ‘kiwi’ connection.

The BioGro certification label is widely recognised around the world and is also New Zealand’s largest and best-known certifier. Producers carry the BioGro logo on their products to assure their customers that the produce they buy is genuine organic.

NZ-Vanuatu company launches post-Pam peanut butter

Tanna Farms’ peanuts are planted, tended, picked, dried, cracked, roasted, crushed and packed by hand in Vanuatu. That’s why they’re the Good Stuff, says Kiwi Jono Bushell, as he launches the Tanna Farms “Crushed It” Peanut Butter in New Zealand.

When Tanna Farms launched its Coconut Oil in New Zealand in February 2015, the Kiwi and Vanuatu families behind the project thought the hardest toil was over.

Exactly one week later, Cyclone Pam carelessly tossed their small Tanna Island factory into the jungle.
