Sports Diplomacy 2030 launched in Vanuatu

During the launch Ms Da Rin said Vanuatu will also benefit from the new sports diplomacy strategy.

The Australian ‘Sports Diplomacy 2030’, is a new sports diplomacy strategy that was launched in Australia by the Foreign Minister on 1 February 2019.

“Through the new strategy, sporting organisations will be able to partner with civil society and the private sector in the Indo-Pacific to find innovative ways to tackle social issues”.

The programme will work specifically to empower women, strengthen disability inclusion and create leadership pathways.

Port Vila joins 'Clean Up the World' campaign

This year, companies and diplomatic missions and their associates have supported Clean Up the World in the group's effort that brought together individuals, businesses, schools, community groups and governments to focus on improving local environments based on this year’s theme ‘Our Place … Our Planet … Our Responsibility’  which highlights how local action can have a global impact.

The Australian High Commission partnered on 18 September with Live & Learn and Pango Green Force to help the students of Sorovanga and Olwie schools in the ‘Clean Up the World’ campaign.
