Ballot papers to be delivered to polling stations in Vanuatu

The RVS Tukoro patrol boat will transport the ballot papers for Tongoa, Shepherds Islands, Epi, Paama, Ambrym, Pentecost and Torres, this weekend.

Ballot papers for polling stations on Ambae, Maewo, Santo, Malo, Aore and Malekula, will be airfreighted.

Political campaigns end at 12 midnight on Monday, 16 March 2020.

This gives two clear days, before polling on Thursday, 19 March 2020.

Solomon Islands patrol boat RSIPV Lata helping distribute ballot boxes

The Australian Government has funded the RSIPV Lata especially with fuel for the boat to help transport the ballot boxes and ballot papers to remote polling stations of Vanuatu.

In his message published in the Daily Post, the Australian High Commissioner to Vanuatu, Jeremy Bruer, said Australia would assist Vanuatu with its elections.

Electoral Office receives ballot papers from printers

A senior official of the Electoral Office has confirmed that the Sun Production printers took less than a week after printing started last Friday and delivered the first batch Wednesday with the rest of the 4 million ballot paper Thursday morning.
