Galaxy FC win Vanuatu Football National Super League

The team thrashed Malampa Revivors 5-0 in the grand-final.

Galaxy defeated Ruerue FC in the semifinal 4-1, while Malampa defeated LL Echo 3-2.

Both finalists have earned a place in the OFC Champions League 2021.

Meanwhile, the National Super League was awarded to Claude Aru of Malampa Revivors FC, while Moise Poida of Galaxy FC won the best coach award.

This was after the game was locked in on 1-0 at halftime with LL Echo leading.

Malampa has been impressive in the competition and have displayed brilliant talents from players such as Claude Aru, who is also a national rep.

The victory means Malampa have qualified for the OFC Champions League.

     

Wake up call for Erakor

The Port Vila club champion will meet Malampa Revivors FC again today in their second friendly and they need to step up play well and get a better result to make their fans happy in Port Vila today.

The Golden Star players missed a lot of chances to score against Malampa last Saturday and their lost o Malampa is like a wakeup call to all players and coaching team.

For Malampa, This is a good result and this is their second win against a club from Port Vila after they beat Ifira Black Bird in 2015 semifinal of the TVL National Super League.

Percy Avock to coach Malampa Revivors for OFC Champion’s League

Avock is a former national team player and is known in the region as AS Mont-Dore coach and favored for his Diploma in Sports attained in France.

Avock, who is well-known for his days with the Yatel Football Club days in Port Vila, now lives in Noumea where he runs a small electrical company.

His passion for football and Vanuatu brought him to Santo last month to assess the needs of team Malampa which is coached and played by some of his close relatives.

Malampa out to unseat Amicale as NSL champions in Vanuatu

Malampa have made it through after a semi-final win over favourites Ifira Black Bird, while in the second semi-final, Amicale were made to work very hard for a 2-0 victory over another Santo side, Vaum United.

Now Malampa and Amicale will go head to head for the national title, and a place in the OFC Champions League.

Harry Attison from the Vanuatu Football Federation saw both the semi-finals, and says Malampa's victory over the highly fancied Black Birds shouldn't have a come as a surprise.
