Variety of Pacific products on show in Auckland

With the cancellation of Pasifika and the final day of Polyfest last month, organisers say Saturday's Path to the Pacific Trade Show may well be the only Pasifika event pre-Easter that incorporates business, entertainment, seminars and food.

The Path to the Pacific will feature Fiji ginger that's making waves worldwide, organic jams and coconut soap from Fiji; rare gems and stunning handicrafts from the Solomon Islands and Pacific fashion, bilum weavers, coffee and baskets from Papua New Guinea.

Pasifika Business Market adds new vibe at Pasifika Festival

Pacific Trade Invest New Zealand is hosting its first stand-alone pan-Pasifika Business Market place. Adding a new hub with more than 35 small to medium businesses directly from 11 Pacific Island countries to the Pasifika Festival’s Village layout.

The new Pasifika Business Market is beside the Samoa Village in front of Western Springs Stadium. It’s been a three-year progression for PTI NZ sparking new life into the Pasifika Festival, one of New Zealand’s largest cultural festivals.

Promoting Pacific products to the world in Hong Kong

For two years running, PTI China has exhibited a range of natural and organic Pacific Islands cosmetics at Cosmoprof, with a Pacific-themed booth and careful preparatory research and advice to participating companies. 

At the most recent Cosmoprof, at the end of 2017, PTI China exhibited products from Natural Fiji as well as Amruqa and Niugini Organics from Papua New Guinea. 

Interest was overwhelming and the buyer reaction was very positive.

Pacific companies to promote products at Coffee and Chocolate Show

Wilex Samoa, a 100% locally owned family business, is showcase its delicately crafted KOKO LOA brand of chocolates.

The KOKO LOA is a new boutique cocoa brand that proudly celebrates its Samoan origins.

The enterprises selected for PTI Australia’s Pacific showcase are Fiji’s Nama of Fiji and Natural Fiji Pty Ltd, Papua New Guinea’s MaxtoneHaus and Island Rose Dream from Tonga.

PIC holds successful Pacific Island event in Yokohama

The festival offered visitors their very first opportunity to check out a range of Pacific island products including crafts, noni juice from Samoa and Tonga, PNG coffee, skincare products from Fiji, cosmetics made from Solomon Islands honey and tamanu oil from Vanuatu.

The Pacific Islands Centre (PIC) sponsored the Festival and held ‘Pacific Marche’ to display and sell products from Pacific island countries to promote business and culture exchange.

NZ hungry for Pacific products

Pacific Island Trade and Invest's Auckland commissioner says more distributors in the industry are jumping on board to form partnership deals with exporters from the region.

The organisation helps market developing businesses from Pacific Island forum member countries across international markets.

Michael Greenslade said industry partners are increasingly impressed with the unique organic products coming in from across the Pacific.

PTI&I Pacific Stand Shines at Fine Food Australia

With 1000 exhibitors and 24,000 visitors across the four-day trade only showcase it would have been easy to overlook small island nations. But the Pacific Islands stand organised by the Sydney office of Pacific Trade & Invest (PT&I) was hard to miss and shone brightly with 11 exhibitor stands and 11 companies participating.

PT&I’s Pacific Hub opens at Auckland Food Show

 The food show starts this Thursday 28 July 2016, at the ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane Auckland.

Pacific products at Fine Food NZ this month

This will be the first year that PT&I NZ participates at this event. Fine Food New Zealand is a trade show that is held every two years. It is a trade-only event and this year it will be held at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland, 26-28 June 2016.

Fine Food New Zealand is the country’s foremost international trade exhibition for the food service, hospitality, and retail industries. The three-day event will gather a number of New Zealand and international companies under one roof – an ideal promotional platform for the Pacific Islands.
