Vanuatu Police raid warehouse suspected of producing drugs

The property which is located at Pukura area on Devil’s Point Road has been sealed off as a “no-go-zone” and guarded by police.

An Australian national, Justine Winslet who was renting the property was arrested on Monday 22 February in connection with the discovery.

Wharf violence escalates

Former Chair of Police Service Commission to challenge his termination

Mr Dan Avock says he believes his termination as chairman and as member of the police service commission by former Prime Minister Sato Kilman was illegal and his lawyer is in the process of filing an application in court to seek the court’s confirmation.

He says his lawyer is still waiting for a response from the state law office before registering the case in court.

New Vanuatu deputy speaker dies

Our correspondent says Mr Molisale died on his home island, Malo, on Tuesday night.
