Shefa and Port Vila FA merge for Super Top 4 Futsal Tournament

The tournament will feature all top 4 premier clubs from both leagues.

In Pool A, there’s Aims FC, Real Seaside FC, Greenstone FC and Huka FC.

Pool B has T-United FC, Falcons FC, UNV FC and Southern Legend FC.

Vanuatu Football Federation to introduce Futsal Youth Super league competition

VFF Southern Technical Director, Joel Rarua said that football development is growing and VFF is committed to addressing all components of football such as futsal and beach soccer.

“Almost 70% of VFF’s Member Associations have implemented futsal programmes in their activities which is a progress for Futsal development,” he said.

Solomons men, NZ women set futsal pace in Auckland

Solomon Islands edged New Caledonia 3-2 on Thursday morning, in a top of the table clash, before thrashing Samoa 8-0 to make it four straight wins.

Baby Kurukuru coach Stanley Puairana was excited to secure another six points but has already turned his focus on his team's last day of matches.

"So far we have 12 points and we're getting excited about maybe going to the Olympics but we're still taking it one game at a time, step-by-step," he said.

"Two games in one day is really hard but I know our players will continue to try their best".

Vanuatu to compete in Wantok Challenge hosted by Solomon Islands

Tournament Manager Thomas Kalola has invited the top teams from Honiara, Savo and Russell, Makira, Temotu and Malaita to participate in the annual competition, with some teams featuring former, current and prospective Solomon Islands national futsal team players.

“This competition will feature 16 teams, most of the teams are champions in various leagues organised in Honiara as well as in our provinces,” he said.

“A team from Vanuatu will also come and compete in this competition.”

Vanuatu beats Fiji 5-2 at OFC Fustal Championship

Both Vanuatu and Fiji were reeling from their opening day defeats, and both were under pressure to prove themselves capable of competing.

Fiji appeared to bounce back the quickest as emerging talent Maciu Tuilau found the back of the net barely three minutes into the match. The early lead was certainly welcome for the so-far winless hosts, but it didn’t last too long as Vanuatu upped the pressure and were rewarded with a fine equaliser courtesy of Don Mansale.

Anticipation peaks as MD1 looms

While teams like New Zealand and New Caledonia have traditionally struggled to make an impact at this level, the development and commitment from each of the nations here in Suva, Fiji has been massive over the past four years.

Each of them working to build squads that they hope will take them to Colombia and the FIFA Futsal World Cup.

Australian expertise aids Vanuatu

Joshua Smith and Raff Frisina have been invited to assist head coach Louis Dominique and are already sharing their extensive knowledge of the five-a-side game with their Ni-Vanuatu colleagues.

"I thank Vanuatu Football Federation and especially the futsal department under the leadership of Louis Dominique who have accepted me as the team's technical advisor along with my friend Raff," Smith says.

Futsal experts arrived to help Futsal Gideons

Vanuatu Futsal Gideons head coach, Louis Dominique welcomed, Mr. Joshua Smith who is an AFC C License futsal coach and another coach Raff Frisina on Monday.

The two futsal expertise paid their own airfares from Adelaide to Vanuatu. They will also pay their own accommodation and food in Port Vila.

The two coaches will join the Vanuatu Futsal Gideons to Fiji next month and they will also pay their own airfares, accommodation and food in Fiji.

Vanuatu named final squad to Fiji

Coach Louis Dominique thanked all the other players who have been attending training.

“On behalf of the management, I would like to thank all the players who have been faithful in training.” Said Louise Dominique.

“We only need 12 players to Fiji but at the moment we have a list of 14 players and two of the players will be on standby.” He said.

Vanuatu Gideons team prepares for OFC Futsal qualifiers

The Pre- Squad has been in training for the last two months under the head coach Louis Dominique.

Louise invited the former Solomon Islands futsal national team coach Dickson Kadau to help him prepare the team.
